Welcome Dr. Jonathan Krant and Monadnock Rheumatology Associates

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Monadnock Rheumatology Associates to our esteemed Oncology and Infusion Therapy Center.

Led by accomplished researcher and clinician Dr. Jonathan Krant, this new practice opened its doors in June with the team excited to unveil this important new service to the community. The expansion signifies our Commitment to providing accessible and top-notch healthcare, ensuring that individuals facing rheumatological challenges can receive specialized care right here at home. Patients will benefit from Dr. Krant’s holistic treatment approach and his dedication to educating patients about their conditions, empowering them to manage their health effectively.

Dr. Krant, a graduate of the UMass School of Medicine with a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, who has held many clinical leadership positions over his career, says, “For over 30 years, I have worked to elevate each patient’s experience by integrating research with my clinical practice, educating people on every aspect of their condition. I look forward to bringing this new service to the Monadnock community.”

Important Update Regarding Cardiology Services at Monadnock Community Hospital

We are pleased to announce that Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH) is opening its own Cardiology practice in October 2024! Monadnock Cardiology Associates (MCA) is honored that Dr. Robert Spencer, and Brooke O’Connor, APRN, have both accepted full-time positions with MCH and are looking forward to continuing to care for patients in the Monadnock Region. Dr. Spencer and Brooke are coming to MCH from Cheshire Medical Center’s Cardiology Clinic where they have worked together for the past several years, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise.

In late spring, we learned that MCH’s cardiology services provided by Catholic Medical Center’s New England Heart & Vascular Institute (CMC NEHVI) were ending June 30th. While we are very excited to be bringing Monadnock Cardiology Associates to MCH this fall, we continue to work diligently with other hospitals and cardiologists in New England to provide cardiology care between July and October. We promise to update you as soon as we are able. Our Emergency Department clinicians will ensure that if you or a loved one has a cardiac emergency, your cardiac needs will be met, including transferring to another hospital if necessary.

MCA will begin scheduling appointments later this summer. If you would like to receive your cardiology care at MCH with our new clinicians in the Monadnock Cardiology Associates office, please call 603-924-4646 to be added to the patient list.

Please understand that we are continuing to work on this transition and are committed to keeping you informed of any developments. Your health and well-being remain our top priority.

Thank you for your patience and trust in MCH. We look forward to providing exceptional cardiology care to our community.

The MCH Rehabilitation Services team hosted a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 18th, for its exciting new outdoor athletic turf treatment and physical therapy space behind the Bond Wellness Center.

This innovative addition allows patients to recover in a natural healing environment while offering expanded services, such as practicing sports-specific movements. Guests enjoyed an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, sports equipment swap, raffles, activities for all ages, and delicious refreshments courtesy of MCH.

Most importantly, attendees learned about the expanded rehabilitation services offered by MCH and met the dedicated physical therapists who will utilize the new space. “We are so excited to have this new outdoor space for our patients to expand their skills in a fresh and inspiring, healing environment,” said Rehabilitation Director Lynne Maloney.

This new outdoor space reflects MCH’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional and innovative healthcare services. The addition expands rehabilitation options for patients, promoting a natural approach to recovery.
