Monadnock Community Hospital Honors July 2026 Employee of the Month Christi Santerre, RN

Monadnock Community Hospital is proud to recognize Christi Santerre, RN, of Surgical Services as the July 2026 Employee of the Month.

Christi has served MCH as a Registered Nurse since 2013. She currently works in perioperative care in Same Day Surgery and also serves as a per diem nurse in the Emergency Department. Her commitment to patient-centered care reflects the compassion, collaboration, honesty, and respect that guide MCH’s mission every day.

“She was friendly, compassionate and highly professional during a very stressful situation. Christi took the time to ensure all of our questions were thoroughly answered and provided clear, thoughtful education about post-operative care and what to expect during recovery.”

Patients and families recognized Christi for her kindness, calm presence, and thoughtful education during stressful moments. One nomination shared that Christi took the time to answer questions thoroughly, explain post-operative care clearly, and help the patient and family feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Another patient praised Christi and the Surgical Services team for excellent care during an urgent appendectomy, noting the team’s professionalism, efficiency, and compassion throughout the experience.

Christi’s connection to MCH began long before her nursing career. She grew up locally, and her mother worked as a nurse in MCH’s former four-bed ICU. Christi remembers visiting her mother at work and sharing ice cream together. Years later, Christi found her own place at MCH, where she and her mother even had the opportunity to work at the hospital at the same time.

As a nurse, Christi is inspired by caring for and advocating for her patients. She enjoys working closely with patients and care teams to support each person’s goals. Her professional interests include cardiac nursing and teaching, and she continues to carry forward the early lessons she learned from her mother about compassion and advocacy.

Outside of MCH, Christi enjoys spending time with her three children, gardening, camping, and being outdoors.
