The peaceful outdoor space can be seen from the Oncology Suite and provides a calming view for patients, families, and staff.Patients receiving care in the Oncology and Infusion Therapy Center have views of the Deb Cilley and Family Healing Garden, a thoughtfully designed outdoor space that brings elements of nature into the care environment. Research has shown that access to natural views can help reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being during treatment.

Dedicated in 2017, the garden honors Deb Cilley, RN, whose 20-year career at Monadnock Community Hospital included helping establish the hospital’s Occupational Health program and founding the Fall Foliage Golf Classic, which continues to support the hospital today.

The garden features a custom metal sculpture created by American Steel Fabricators and donated by Rob Cilley in memory of his wife, Deb, along with bee murals by artist Matt Willey as part of his global For the Good of the Hive initiative. Together with the fountain, landscaping, and seasonal plantings, these elements create a peaceful focal point for patients, families, and staff.
