Monadnock Community Hospital has been honored with a Lamplighter Award from the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) for The Hub, the hospital’s employee intranet transformation project.

The Hub was launched in 2025 to replace MCH’s legacy intranet platform. The project focused on improving employee access to information, strengthening internal communications, and creating a more organized and sustainable system for managing content across the organization.

Before the transition, employees reported challenges finding information and navigating content. A staff survey and comprehensive content review identified opportunities to improve organization, streamline resources, and establish stronger governance practices. The project team used this feedback to guide the redesign and ensure the new platform better met the needs of employees throughout the hospital and medical practices.

The Hub introduced a modern navigation structure, improved search capabilities, centralized resources, digital forms, and clearly defined content ownership. The project also established governance standards and review processes to help ensure information remains accurate, current, and easy to locate.

Today, The Hub serves as a central resource for approximately 600 employees, providing access to policies, forms, staff resources, emergency information, organizational news, and departmental content. The platform supports employee self-service, helps reduce information silos, and provides a more consistent experience across the organization.

The award recognizes the collaborative effort that made the project possible. Input and support from employees, department leaders, Information Technology, Public Relations, Human Resources, and other stakeholders helped shape the platform and ensure it addressed the needs of users across the organization.

“This recognition reflects the importance of effective internal communication and the value of creating systems that help employees quickly access the information they need,” said Alycia McDuff, Marketing and Communications Manager at Monadnock Community Hospital. “The Hub was designed to support our staff and strengthen communication across the organization, and we’re honored to see that work recognized.”

The project was led by the Marketing Department and continues to evolve through ongoing content management, governance, and employee feedback.

Monadnock Community Hospital is proud to receive this recognition and remains committed to providing employees with the tools, resources, and information they need to support exceptional care for our community.
