SOLD OUT Planning Ahead Seminar: Understanding Advance Directives

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, Monadnock Community Hospital is hosting a free Health & Wellness Seminar on Advance Directives at the Wellness Center Conference Room in Peterborough, NH. This panel presentation will explain what Advance Directives are, how they are used in clinical and emergency settings, and how to have conversations that help your loved ones and care team honor your wishes. A notary will be available onsite for anyone ready to complete their documents that evening.

Planning ahead for your healthcare is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and for the people who love you. Advance Directives are legal documents that make your wishes known if you are ever unable to speak for yourself. They remove uncertainty during some of the most difficult moments a family can face.

This free seminar from the Monadnock Community Hospital Health & Wellness Seminar Series [https://monadnockcommunityhospital.com/news-events/health-and-wellness-seminars/] will bring together four knowledgeable presenters to walk attendees through the practical details of Advance Directives in a clear, accessible way. No prior knowledge is needed.

  • The difference between a Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare (DPOAH) and a Living Will
  • How Advance Directives are used by hospital care teams and emergency responders
