Remembering Bob Taft
Saying Goodbye to a Dear Friend

Last December, our community lost a beloved, irreplaceable human being when Bob Taft passed away at age 92. Known for his wisdom, warmth and kindness, Bob’s generous spirit changed literally thousands of lives. As a New Hampshire municipal judge, he ruled with compassion and fairness. As a family man, he raised his children to treat everyone with respect. And as a good citizen and patriot, Bob was always first to volunteer, donate, and pitch in. Oh, and did we mention he was a charming, funny and wonderful friend?

Bob was an especially good friend to MCH, serving on the Hospital‘s Board for nine years. In 2007, he co-chaired our largest capital campaign ever, helping raise over $10 million for our new Surgical and Emergency Departments.

Bob had a long and fruitful season on this earth. And while we mourn his passing, we celebrate his legacy, which will continue to bless our community for generations to come. Thank you, dear friend—for everything.
