Advancing Care Through Innovation at Monadnock Community Hospital

Innovation at Monadnock Community Hospital

At Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH), we are advancing care with purpose—bringing innovative services and specialty practices to meet the evolving needs of our community. From expanding access to cardiology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology to introducing a new outdoor rehabilitation turf, our commitment to excellence is grounded in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care close to home.

New specialty services and expanded programs bring expert care closer to home.

At Monadnock Community Hospital, we are making progress by expanding access to specialized care and meeting the needs of our community with thoughtful consideration and purpose. This year, we proudly introduced three new specialty services—Monadnock Gastroenterology Associates, Monadnock Rheumatology Associates, and Monadnock Cardiology Associates—bringing expert, high-quality care closer to home.

Since opening in March 2024, Monadnock Gastroenterology Associates (MGA), led by Dr. Michael Gilbert, has become an essential resource for advanced gastrointestinal care. Nurse Practitioner Erin Jablonski later joined the team to help meet growing demand, providing expertise in procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies.

In July 2024, Monadnock Rheumatology Associates (MRA), led by Dr. Jonathan Krant, opened within our Oncology and Infusion Therapy Center. MRA delivers expert care for chronic and complex rheumatological conditions, filling a critical gap in accessible, specialized treatment.

October 2024 marked a major milestone with the opening of Monadnock Cardiology Associates (MCA), led by Dr. Robert Spencer and Nurse Practitioner Brooke O’Connor. MCA offers specialized cardiac testing and comprehensive heart disease treatment, ensuring patients receive high-quality care at every stage of their heart health journey.

A staff member at the center holds oversized scissors. The turf area in the background features agility cones and a Free Throw Shoot Out sign, emphasizing a fun and functional therapy environment.

In May 2024, MCH celebrated the opening of a new 3,500-square-foot outdoor turf space designed to enhance athletic recovery and functional rehabilitation. This versatile area allows patients to engage in real-world movement training in a fresh-air setting, supporting improved balance, strength, and coordination. Whether recovering from joint replacement, managing arthritis, or working toward sports performance goals, patients now benefit from a dynamic new environment as part of their personalized therapy plan.

These investments reflect our commitment to community-informed, patient-centered care. By responding to the needs identified in our Community Health Needs Assessment and expanding clinical capabilities, we’re making meaningful progress—right here at home.

Whether it’s advanced diagnostics, chronic condition management, or rehabilitation, our goal remains the same: to deliver high-quality care that evolves with the people we serve.
