A Letter from Cyndee

It is with deep appreciation that I share some personal news: after more than eleven incredibly meaningful years as President and CEO of Monadnock Community Hospital, and nearly five decades in healthcare, I’ve decided to retire.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to serve in many roles across the healthcare landscape, but nothing has brought me more joy than leading this exceptional hospital. Serving MCH has been the honor of a lifetime. I’ve been inspired daily by the compassion, dedication, and talent of those who make this community so remarkable. Looking back on all we’ve accomplished together, I’m filled with pride and gratitude for this place we call home.

This transition won’t happen overnight. I will continue in my role through early 2026 to ensure a smooth, thoughtful handoff. Our Board of Trustees has already formed a search committee and engaged WittKieffer, a nationally respected firm, to help identify MCH’s next leader.

Thank you for your trust, encouragement, and support these past eleven years. Together, we’ve expanded services, advanced patient care, deepened community partnerships, weathered a global pandemic, and celebrated a century of service. It’s been a privilege to be part of that journey.

I’m also happy to share that MCH recently welcomed five outstanding new providers to Orthopedics, Surgical Services, and Primary Care, an important step in ensuring continued access to high-quality care close to home. We’re continuing our important Health and Wellness seminars for the public and we are proud to celebrate our dedicated nursing staff through the DAISY Awards. These efforts, along with our beautifully renovated Medical-Surgical Unit are made possible through the generosity of our donors and reflect our continued investment in exceptional patient care.

As I look to the future, I do so with full confidence in MCH’s strength and spirit. With a clear mission, committed leadership, and an extraordinary staff, this hospital is well positioned for continued success. The next President and CEO will inherit not only a legacy of excellence, but a community truly dedicated to advancing health and healing.

Warm regards,
Cynthia McGuire, FACHE
President and CEO
