About the Gallery

Art heals. Community connects. Join us at MCH.

The Monadnock Region has a rich and vibrant history of support for the Arts. Here at Monadnock Community Hospital, we are in a unique position to help connect the world of healing and the world of art. Our intent is to host a venue for artists to exhibit in varied mediums, resulting in a visual experience which promotes the proven healing and restorative benefits of beautiful artwork. Our vision is to eventually develop a permanent art collection for the hospital which will be enjoyed for generations by patients and visitors to our campus.

Our Healing Arts Committee is comprised of individuals representing a strong interest in the Healing Arts initiative and has convened to create and develop all aspects of the MCH Healing Arts Gallery as an established and vital venue going forward. The gallery holds three shows per year displaying work from all local artists.

Convenient and easy to access, the entrance to the Healing Arts Gallery at MCH is located adjacent to the Sarah Hogate Bacon Emergency Services Department.

The Healing Arts Gallery is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The gallery is open to all.

Join us for the Birds of a Feather Art Exhibition!

Celebrate the charm of nature with “Birds of a Feather: Small Treasures,” a new exhibition at Monadnock Community Hospital’s Healing Arts Gallery. Featuring stunning works by local artists, this collection highlights the beauty of birds and the natural world. Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, December 12, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with live music and light refreshments. Open 24/7, the gallery offers an inspiring space for all to enjoy.

Wendy Parker of the Healing Art Gallery Committee says, “the art gallery creates a portal that connects people to emotions, and has the power to transport its audience to places and emotions that the viewer may not be able to physically or emotionally access.” Feeling these emotions is the mission of this gallery and a part of the healing the gallery provides.”

Artists interested in submitting works of art that support a therapeutic and restorative experience for viewers in a healthcare setting can learn more and submit here.

The Healing Arts Gallery is located at Monadnock Community Hospital adjacent to the Emergency Services Department entrance. The gallery is open to all.

Brilliance
