Procedure Your procedure will take approximately 2 to 3 hours and include these steps: -Anesthesia -Positioning -Prepping -Draping -Performing the TSA procedure Muscle-sparing Approach: The surgeon separates the deltoid and pectoral muscles to access the shoulder in a largely nerve-free area (to minimize nerve damage). The shoulder is opened by cutting one of the front muscles of the rotator cuff, which covers the shoulder. This opens the door to allow the surgeon to view and manipulate the arthritic parts of the shoulder ball and socket.Monadnock Community Hospital Joint Replacement Program| TSA Tab 72 https://monadnockcommunityhospital.com/services/rehabilitation/moa-surgery/'
