Coming Together for Our First National Night Out

On August 5, Monadnock Community Hospital was proud to host our very first National Night Out in partnership with local police, fire, and EMS personnel. The evening was filled with laughter, learning, and connection as families gathered on campus to celebrate community safety and friendship.

From the Dunk-a-Cop Tank to the always-popular Touch-a-Truck with police, fire, and EMS vehicles, kids and parents alike enjoyed hands-on fun. K-9 Queso and friends wowed the crowd with K-9 demonstrations, while little ones lined up for the Teddy Bear Clinic and face painting.

Guests also explored booths offering fire prevention tips, CPR and Narcan training, and valuable resources from community partners. Friendly competition broke out during the Peterborough Police vs. Peterborough Fire Donut Eating Contest, while Station 16 of Jaffrey kept everyone cool with ice cream.

The night was more than an event, it was a chance for neighbors and first responders to come together in a spirit of trust and appreciation. We are deeply grateful to our law enforcement, fire, EMS partners and company donations from Shaw’s, Dunkin and Walmart for making this celebration possible and to everyone who joined us to make it such a success.

We look forward to building on this tradition for years to come!
