At Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH), our mission extends beyond providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Our commitment is to enhance the health and well-being of our entire community. Through our comprehensive Community Benefits Program, we strive to address the unique health needs of our local population and ensure that everyone has access to the care and support they need.
A Year of Impact: Over $18 Million Invested in Our Community
In 2023, MCH provided over $18 million in support of our community through various initiatives and programs. This significant investment underscores our dedication to fostering a healthier, more vibrant community for all. Here’s a breakdown of how these funds were used:
Charity Care: $392,000
Our Financial Assistance Program ensures that individuals who can’t afford medical expenses receive the care they need. This program is vital in bridging the gap for those in financial distress, allowing them to access essential medical services without the burden of overwhelming costs.
In-kind Donations: $273,500
We contribute resources and training to local organizations, such as donations to other community groups and EMT training. These in-kind donations help strengthen the infrastructure of community services, enhancing their ability to serve our neighbors effectively.
Community Programs: $328,000
MCH supports a variety of community health initiatives, including Mobile Integrated Health and Parent Support Services. These programs are designed to meet specific health needs, providing crucial support and education to improve overall community health.
Subsidized Health Services: $8,926,000
To ensure that everyone has access to high-quality healthcare, we subsidize a range of health services. This includes chronic health programs, emergency department services, and behavioral health services. By making these services more affordable, we help individuals manage their health more effectively.
Public Programs: $8,453,000
Covering the shortfall between the cost of care and government reimbursements for Medicaid and Medicare, our support for public programs ensures that patients who rely on these services receive the care they need. This funding is crucial in maintaining the accessibility and quality of healthcare for all.
