Honoring Our EMS Heroes: Captain Tim Quinn Receives Inaugural Lauren Morton Award

On May 21, Monadnock Community Hospital welcomed Emergency Medical Service (EMS)professionals from across the Monadnock Region for the 2025 EMS Recognition Dinner—a heartfelt celebration of those who provide lifesaving care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The evening included a warm welcome from Dr. Daniel Perli, Chief Medical Officer, and a hospital update highlighting expanded specialty services. A moving tribute was also given in honor of the late Physician Assistant, Lauren Morton, a beloved provider in MCH’s Emergency Department and former Assistant EMS Medical Director, who passed away in 2024.

To honor her legacy, MCH introduced the Lauren Morton Award for Excellence in EMS. The inaugural award was presented to Captain Tim Quinn of Peterborough Fire and Rescue, in recognition of his extraordinary leadership, mentorship, and compassion—especially in moments of profound challenge.

“Captain Quinn exemplifies what it means to lead with strength and heart,” said Dr. Eric Lasky, EMS Medical Director, who presented the award. “He is a steady presence in moments of crisis, and a trusted mentor to many.”

EMS teams in attendance represented a wide span of communities and included: Antrim Fire Department, Dublin Fire Department, Great Brook Ambulance, Greenfield Fire Department, Hancock Fire Department, Jaffrey Fire Department, Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance, New Ipswich Fire Department, Peterborough Fire and Rescue, Rindge Fire Department, and Souhegan Valley Ambulance Service. Their presence was a testament to the strength of collaboration in our region’s emergency response network.

Monadnock Community Hospital is honored to work alongside these dedicated providers. Their swift response, clinical excellence, and compassion in moments of crisis are critical to the health and safety of our region. We thank each of them for their continued service to our communities.
