In the News: Amid Cardiologist Shortage, MCH to Open Its Own Cardiology Department

Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH) in Peterborough is opening its own cardiology department this fall to address the national shortage of cardiologists. Previously relying on Catholic Medical Center (CMC) for cardiology services, MCH will now offer care five days a week. The new department has received an overwhelming response, with 400 patients already seeking to join. MCH aims to maintain and expand cardiology services, with Dr. Robert Spencer and nurse Brooke O’Connor joining the team.
