What are the Types of Fractures?

Simple Fractures: Clean breaks in the bone that can be easily realigned and treated.
Open Fractures: Fractures where the bone breaks through the skin, requiring more complex treatment.
Comminuted Fractures: Fractures where the bone is shattered into multiple pieces, often needing surgical intervention.

How are Fractures Diagnosed and Treated?

X-Rays and Imaging: Accurate diagnosis using X-rays and other imaging techniques to determine the extent of the fracture.
Non-Surgical Treatment: Options include casting, splinting, and bracing to immobilize the bone and allow it to heal.
Surgical Treatment: In cases of severe fractures, surgery may be necessary to realign and stabilize the bone using pins, plates, or screws.

What is Expected Fracture Recovery and Rehabilitation?

Follow-Up Care: It is important to attend all regular follow-up appointments with your provider to monitor healing progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment.
Physical Therapy: Engaging in physical therapy is very important to regain strength and mobility in the affected limb.
