“All good and positive outcomes are a team effort,” says Rosamond Cady of Harrisville.

After a serious injury last spring resulted in broken bones, a hernia, and chronic pain, Rosamond became the center of a collaborative care team at Monadnock Community Hospital—one dedicated to helping her return to a vibrant, active life.

It began with Dr. Brian Kwitkin and the surgical team at Monadnock Surgical Associates, who successfully repaired her hernia. Then came orthopedic care with Dr. Vache Hambardzumyan of Monadnock Orthopaedic Associates. “Dr. Vache simply wowed me with his humble, gentle approach,” she reflects. “He told me, ‘You will heal. The human body has an amazing power to heal itself if we get out of the way.’ How wonderful is that?”

She then partnered with Dr. Jennifer Civitella and Nurse Practitioner Meliea Miller at Antrim Medical Group, and later began physical therapy with Kathy Scott of the MCH Rehabilitation Department. Rosamond credits Kathy’s fully engaged, respectful approach to care as a turning point in her recovery.

“Kathy’s first question at each of our appointments is, ‘What do I need to know?’ That simple question has given me permission to be completely honest, allowing us to work together as true partners in healing. She has made me believe that I can and will heal. Bless her and her amazing team of care providers!”
