Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH) began vaccinating frontline healthcare workers with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine after receiving an initial shipment of 65 doses. Donna Infante, Director of the Emergency Department, was among the first to receive the vaccine, emphasizing the importance of protecting patients, staff, and the community. MCH CEO Cynthia McGuire described the vaccination process as a historic milestone in the fight against the pandemic. Due to limited supply, the hospital followed a randomized selection process guided by ethical considerations. MCH continues to provide staff with updated vaccine information while maintaining strict safety protocols.
