Donna Poe, MS, RDN, LD, CDE – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist/Certified Diabetes Educator

Donna Poe PhotoDonna has worked at Monadnock Community Hospital since establishing its outpatient Nutrition Services in 2000. She holds her undergraduate degree in dietetics from the University of Vermont and her dietetic internship and graduate degree in nutrition from Massachusetts General Hospital / Institute of Health Professions. With over 25 years experience in assessing, motivating, and communicating appropriate nutritional information to a variety of clients, Donna utilizes behavioral-based counseling techniques to disseminate complex information into easy-to-understand concepts, working with clients to help them develop a healthy relationship with food.

Donna provides individual nutrition counseling to all ages and all nutrition concerns. She provides group nutrition classes to people in the cardiac and pulmonary fitness programs, and promotes health and nutrition at numerous community-based events

Helping people identify their nutrition and wellness goals, and paths to attain them is what I am passionate about. Mindful listening and individualization are key components of my work. Empowering people to make a change, not just for a week, but for a lifetime… ”


Kaitlyn McCarthy, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist/Certified Diabetes Educator

Kaitlyn, clinical nutrition manager at Monadnock Community Hospital is a member of the certified diabetes team. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science from the University of New Hampshire. She then went on to complete her dietetic internship at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut. After graduating, she found her niche in clinical nutrition, helping people improving their health and wellness through food. Having several close family members with diabetes is what sparked her interest to get her CDCES and become a diabetes educator. When she is not working, she can be found spending time with friends and family, cooking and baking, and spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, skiing, or kayaking.
