b'Dear Friends,In 1917, a group of Peterborough citizens met to brainstorm ideas for a community hospital. They envisioned a modern, comfortable facility where patients could receive up-to-date treatments. They also wanted to attract skilled providers to the region,to ensure the best care possible.With the enthusiastic support of the local community, this vision was realized,and in 1923 The Peterborough Hospital (now Monadnock Community Hospital) was born. Since then, MCH has grown to become the regional leader in healthcare, providing both primary and specialty care to patients from Hillsborough and Cheshire Counties and beyond. As our 100th year approaches, its a good time to reflect on our history and accomplishments.Through the decades, our Hospital has grown, expanded its campus and off-site offices, added technologies and specialty care, and has overcome countless MISSION challenges. But the 2020 emergence of a deadly pandemic was unique. COVID-19, and its subsequent variants, forced all of us to change behaviors and adopt measures Monadnock Community Hospital isto keep our community safe. committed to improving the health and well-being of our community. As always, MCH medical staff and employees responded to this most recent threat with compassion, commitment, and creativity. We followed the science, instituted prevention protocols, and worked hard to keep our community safe. And although the pandemic was new territory for all of us, I am proud of the way our MCH family rose VISION to the challenge.
