The W.E.L.L Program
The flagship program, W.E.L.L. stands for Weight, Exercise, Life and Learning. Over the course of 12 weeks individuals will meet three times a week for an hour of supervised exercise, including aerobic and strength. Participants will receive one on one nutrition counseling and be coached on how to track their food for optimal results. This class is designed for those who want to lower their BMI fight deconditioning or increase their quality of life through fitness.
Stepping Stones is the BWC’s bridge between physical therapy and independent exercising. Stepping Stones allows those who have graduated physical therapy but are not ready to exercise independently a safe, supervised and secure place to exercise. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there will be a dedicated staff member specifically to help guide, assist and challenge those in transition. Step forward with Stepping Stones
Exercise is Medicine
Exercise is Medicine at the BWC is a collaboration of primary care physicians, specialty services and exercise specialists. All partners in this program are dedicated to finding a way to make exercise and physical conditioning accessible to everyone.
Get prepared for joint surgery by participating in this 4 week program. This program will focus on nutrition, pre-hab exercises and behavior change. Go into surgery strong and lean and recover quicker.
Tackling Type 2
Modeled after the CDC, “Preventing T2” educational program, the BWC unique institute combines exercise and education in a 6 month program. This program is designed for those who have had elevated blood glucose but are not diagnosed with diabetes. Each week participants will have an educational lecture and a supervised exercise class.
