Sarah joined the rehabilitation team at MCH in December 2018. She received her Bachelors degree in Clinical Exercise and Sports Science in 2016 and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Sarah’s focus is in the outpatient rehabilitation department, where she treats a variety of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries and disorders. Sarah also works in the inpatient rehabilitation department where the focus of therapy is on helping patient’s return to their prior level of function in their activities of daily living and assessing patient’s safety to return home. Sarah is certified in the LSVT BIG program which helps people with Parkinson disease (PD) use their body more normally. The treatment improves walking, self-care and activities of daily living by helping people “re-calibrate” how they perceive their movements with what others actually see. Sarah has a strong interest in orthopedics, wound care, and neuro rehabilitation.
