Overview
A Warm Welcome, Every Time

For Susan Shepard of Lyndeborough, medical visits can bring a great deal of anxiety. At Monadnock Community Hospital, one constant has helped ease that stress: the friendly faces waiting at the door.

“Every time I went to MCH, friendly, helpful, and kind volunteers greeted me,” Susan says. “My visits were filled with anxiety about what awaited me post-surgery or seeing my doctor about a worrisome health problem. Without fail, the volunteers were a source of much-needed and appreciated distraction from distress and worry. This program is of great value to any patient and further enhances Monadnock’s reputation for only the best patient care.”

In a place where uncertainty often accompanies patients through the front door, MCH volunteer greeters offer something medicine alone cannot: a familiar face, a kind word, and the reassurance that you are not alone.

Their warmth and generosity help create the welcoming environment that patients and families experience from the moment they arrive.
