Maintaining health and independence as we age is an important goal for many individuals and families. While aging brings natural changes to the body, research shows that lifestyle choices, physical activity, and preventive care can play a powerful role in supporting long-term well-being.

Monadnock Community Hospital invites the community to attend a free educational seminar focused on healthy aging and practical strategies for maintaining strength, mobility, and quality of life.

Age-Friendly Health Systems logo with the message "Committed to Care Excellence for Older Adults"This seminar is built around the Age-Friendly Health Systems framework and its four key areas of care, known as the 4Ms: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. A panel of MCH experts will walk through each area and explain how it shapes care for older adults.

Topics will include maintaining strength and mobility, recognizing and addressing memory and mental health changes, understanding how medications affect older adults, and aligning healthcare decisions with personal goals and preferences.

Attendees will also learn about Advance Directives and local resources that can help individuals and families plan ahead and advocate for the care that matters most to them.

This seminar is ideal for adults interested in staying active and healthy as they age, as well as caregivers and family members who support older loved ones.
